nachdem bruce springsteen sein konzert um die ecke beendet hat (wir durften mithören!), die mädels im zelt links von uns die halbe nacht hindurch mit den jungs im zelt rechts von uns geschäkert haben und nicht aufhören konnten zu kichern, stehen wir frohgemut auf und fahren mit der tram in die stadt.
eine bootstour durch kanäle und hafen steht an. der hafen von göteborg ist der grösste in ganz skandinavien. von hier sind in der 2. hälfte des 19. jahrhunderts 1,3 millionen schweden (von damals 3,5 mio einwohner) nach amerika ausgewandert. bis heute werden eisen, stahl und volvos exportiert. und tourismus spielt eine immer grössere rolle.
wir schlendern durch die markthalle, schauen die domkirche an. um die ecke ein in-laden mit öko-super-gesund-salatbar und smoothies jeder zusammensetzung: schmeckt auch seehr lecker und gesund und ist für leute, die auf diät sind…
wir fahren mit der tram spazieren, am botanischen garten rum, durch das viertel majorna. die bustour nehmen wir auch mit. spazieren durch die viertelatmosphäre von haga und kompensieren das mittagessen mit kaffee und kuchen. göteborg hat ein perfekt ausgebautes und beschildertes fahrradnetz. wow!
am abend nochmal essen an der markthalle. fleisch und pizza und algohool… wie gut, dass wir nicht heimradeln müssen. wir finden, göteborg hat charme und ist schön.

dear mary, nice to read your lines. we are looking forward to lovely times in denmark. we cycled it already three times. our most favorite place is the little stenbjerg, in the national park, with large dunes and less holidaycabins… we also love the old churches, the „insandende kirk“ – and the great odde naturcenter in skagen.

Yes, I’m still following you and enjoy your blog very much.
Now, that you will be in Denmark soon I really hope you will have sunny warm weather when you are cycling on the beach from Lokken to Blokhus. We found this a magic section, the place was buzzing with people, cars, motorbikes, bikes etc. For us it was one of Denmarks highlights.
Another point of interest, if you have the time visit the church in Fjaltring and/or Trans, both 12th century. Really interesting.(Just above Bovling Fjord).
Even though my knowledge of the German language is limited, I understand your stories and read in between the lines that you are having a great time.
